The Association co-ordinates the activities of the Conservative Party across the Parliamentary Constituency of Warwick and Leamington. We work to ensure Conservatives are elected at every level, and following the elections in May 2015 have Chris White as our Member of Parliament, two County Councillors, seventeen District Councillors, twelve Warwick Town Councillors and five Leamington Town Councillors. Whether it's canvassing, delivery, our diverse programme of events, social action projects or policy forums, there is always something going on. The Association is run by its team of Officers and employs a full-time Campaign Manager. MEMBERSHIP
Membership of Warwick and Leamington Conservatives costs £25 a year (£15 for members of the Armed Forces, £5 for people aged 22 and under). We are entirely self-financing, and therefore rely on the generous support of our members in order to run a professional operation. Membership gives you the right to vote in elections for the Party Leader, to be part of the Branch System, to attend our events and to stand for election as a Councillor (subject to approval from Executive Council). If you are interested in becoming a member, please visit our membership page. SOCIAL ACTION
Conservatives don't believe in just talking about things - we believe in getting things done. We care greatly about the area we live, and that is why we are regularly out on one of our social action projects. Whether it's an organised litter pick, cleaning street signs, reporting potholes or taking part in a community action day, we believe in actively making our area an even better place to live. If you would be interested in getting involved in one of our social action projects, please get in touch. CONSERVATIVE POLICY FORUM
The Conservative Policy Forum meets once every two months in North Leamington, and provides members with an opportunity to discuss a wide range of policy issues, from health to transport, art funding to our education system. A brief on the topic to be discussed is circulated to members prior to the meeting, and then a series of questions are discussed at the meeting, with a report being prepared detailing the views held by members, before the conclusions are sent to Conservative Central Office. Policy Forums play a significant role in the development of Conservative Party policy, and provide members with an opportunity to have their views heard, as well as providing the opportunity to explore and debate a wide range of policy issues. Our meetings are free to attend, and if you would be interested in finding out more or to join us, please get in touch.
